Jodi Morgan - Stylist/Owner

Hey there! I'm Jodi, a simple Ohio girl born with big dreams and lots of passion! I know in the depths of my soul that I was born for the beauty industry. All things beauty were a part of my life growing up including modeling school, pageants, salon modeling and more. When it came time to plan my future at the age of 18, I knew college was not for me. While my parents initially questioned my decision, they recognized my determination and were in full support. I started my career at the Aveda institute in Ohio in 2006 and graduated in 2007 acquiring my cosmetology license. I continued my education with a training program at the renowned Jacob Neal salon where I received extensive training from some of the best in the industry.

In 2008 I felt the sunshine call and I moved down south to North Carolina where I met the man of my dreams in 2009. Over the next 9 years as I was building my career in a local salon, we got married and we have 4 amazing kids. I worked my way from a junior stylist to being one of their top stylists over those 9 years. I had the opportunity to work with several assistants as well as train many other stylists. During those years of training other stylists, I realized my passion was serving and loving others as well as helping others grow and reach their potential.

In 2017 I felt the Lord call me to start my own business, I took the leap of faith and started my own studio salon. I was beyond blessed by the support of my family and clientele as they joined me on this journey. Early 2022 I found myself at a crossroads, questioning what my next steps were. Unsure of whether I was meant to stay home with my kids, cut my hours back or work more with my husband. I was still in love with what I did everyday but I knew I needed to do it differently. After much time in prayer, God revealed to me that I needed to take a step back and bring in other stylists to help out. Walking in obedience, I took the summer to reflect and press into what he had next for me.

During this time I was able to see the bigger picture that God had planned, that's when the doors began to open and the desire to fulfill my dream of owning a salon came to life. I truly believe my past experiences were essential building blocks in God's plans to equip me for the journey of salon ownership and leading others to reach their full potential. My mission for everyone at morgan+co BEAUTY LOUNGE is that they may be a light in the life of others and that they discover who God has created them to be. Being a hairstylist is more than just the art, it's about every opportunity to change someone's day or even their life.
